PE and Sport Premium

Please read the information below which gives details of our PE and Sport Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.

Sports Funding for September 2016 to July 2017

Funding allocation: September 16 - March 17 = 7/12ths estimate = £5224

                                                 April 16- March 18 = 512ths estimate = £

Expenditure

Sports Plus Scheme = £12540 (Teaching, dinner time clubs and after school clubs

Primemovers             = £3390   (£220 Teaching and £1110 after school club)

                           Total = £15930

From September we will be using the Sports funding to provide quality PE lessons for KS2, KS1 and Reception. We will also provide two diner time clubs and two after school clubs on Thursday's and Friday's. This year we are also providing extra gymnastic lessons and a Gymnastics after school club on a Tuesday with an aim for the children to enter the key steps competition.

 

 

Sports Funding for September 215 to July 2016

Funding allocaton: September 15-March 16 =7/12ths estimate = £5,270

                                                  April 16-March 17  5/7ths estimate =£3,765

From September we will be using 'Sports Plus' to assist in delivering the PE Curriculum across key stage 2, key stage 1 and reception. We also run two lnh time clubs and two after school clubs on Thursdays and Fridays. Mr Fitzsimons will also run an after school sports club.

2014-15 the school won the following events:

Copeland indoor Athletics

Copeland Cross Country

Copeland boys football

Whitehaven Bowling Club schools cup

We were also in the finals of :

Cumbria indoor athletics

Cumbria boys football

West Cumbria Rugby festival (mixed)

 

Sports Funding for September 2014 to July 2015

Funding Allocation:Apri - August 2014 £3,607

Expected: September to March 15          £5,544

Invoice Excepted: Sports Plus for 14/15 £11,500

Balance after invoice                                  -£4,741  this will be met from the school budget

Sports Funding for September 2013 to July 2014

From September we will using 'Sports Plus Scheme' to deliver the PE curriculum across key stage 1 and key stage 2. We also run two lunch time clubs on Tuesday and Thursday which run from 12.30pm to 1.00pm. Mr Fitzsimons also runs an ater school sports club.

The total amount of funding is calculated as follows:

A lump sum  of £8000 a year plus £5 per pupil.

For the Valley this £5 X 244 pupils = £1220

£8000 + £1220 = £9220.
